Any smartphone with NFC capability, which includes most phones made after 2018. This covers all iPhones from iPhone 7 onwards and most Android phones. Workers do not need to enable anything — NFC tag reading is on by default on modern phones.

The dashboard is a web-based management tool where managers can see all equipment, who has what, activity history, and compliance status. It is PIN-protected and accessible from any device at sitechip.co.uk/dashboard.

Compliance is included free in every SiteChip subscription. It is not a separate product or add-on. Workers tap a compliance tag on equipment like fire extinguishers, first aid kits, or emergency lighting, take a photo, and record the result as pass, action needed, or out of service. The dashboard shows a traffic light view of what is compliant, due, or overdue, with a full audit trail, photo evidence, and exportable PDF reports with digital signatures. You can hand an inspector a complete compliance report in 10 seconds.

Yes. There are no long-term contracts. Compliance subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Your data remains accessible in read-only mode for 90 days after cancellation.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption. Workers are identified using passkeys (Face ID or fingerprint) which means biometric data never leaves their phone.
